Biography

Swenno Hoogerwaard, widely recognized by his stage name Simon Kidzoo, entered this world on March 26, 1994. An innate passion for house music coursed through his veins from the very beginning. Growing up, his fascination with the genre only intensified, in effect by his father’s musical palette and diverse influences. From a tender age, Simon Kidzoo immersed himself in the world of music. Then he spent countless hours tinkering on his computer, crafting his own unique sounds.

Driven by curiosity and a relentless desire to explore the depths of musical expression, he delved into music production. Additionally, investing in various software programs, he sought to unlock the boundless possibilities that awaited him. Over the course of two years, he honed his craft, experimenting with an array of house music styles. Furthermore, each trial served as a stepping stone toward the realization of his distinctive identity.

With dedication, Simon Kidzoo began to carve out his own niche within the industry. He forged a signature sound characterized by irresistible tech-infused vibes and infectious rhythms. His musical capability did not go unnoticed, catching the attention of esteemed figures in the electronic music scene. Among those impressed were The Martinez Brothers, Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, Black Coffee, Cloonee, Camelphat, Franky Rizardo, Solardo, Mark Knight, Nic Fanciulli, Danny Howard, Pete Tong, Joris Voorn and more.

Moreover, his collection of music grew significantly, with numerous songs released on well-known labels. These labels include Toolroom, Kaluki, Club Sweat, Saved, La Pera, Under No Illusion, Nervous, Etiquette, South Of Saturn, and Kittball, among others. This solidified his position as a formidable force within the electronic music landscape. Above all, Simon Kidzoo’s success was further propelled by performances at famous clubs and festivals worldwide. These performances took place in Ibiza, Japan, Egypt, Italy, Greece, Mozambique, Morocco, Kos, Cyprus, Belgium, and, of course, Holland.
